Systems Engineer (HVACR)

Location: Aachen-Oberforstbach, Germany; hybrid work combining office collaboration with remote flexibility

What you will do

• Design custom industrial refrigeration and gas compression system equipment as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Review compression system designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, contracts, codes, and customer specifications.
• Select system components and create project Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Perform engineering calculations, design reviews, and prepare documentation and equipment specifications for project execution.
• Review and approve production drawings, recommending changes to improve design, reduce costs, and increase production efficiency.
• Support production, procurement, sales, customers, and other departments in resolving technical issues and improving processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 3 years of engineering experience and the ability to address varied technical problems with limited mentorship.
• Working experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software.
• Clear written and verbal communication of technical concepts and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a safety-conscious and improvement-oriented approach.
• Legal authorization to work in Germany is required; visa sponsorship or work authorization will not be provided. Ability to travel 5–10% is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with compression systems, pressure piping systems, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
• Understanding of manufacturing BOM structures and ERP systems.
• Experience with heat-transfer products or thermodynamic systems.
