What you will do

• Define and analyze overall propellant management architecture, including acquisition strategy and depletion behavior.
• Model microgravity and low-acceleration propellant dynamics using VOF methods and coupled heat and mass transfer.
• Derive tank pressurization concepts and operational envelopes based on mission requirements and reusability constraints.
• Perform NPSP and inlet margin trades considering thermal states and transient operating conditions.
• Analyze propellant routing, feedlines, and valves with a focus on reuse robustness.
• Develop reduced-order models from high-fidelity analyses to support program-level trade studies.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or chemical engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in propulsion, fluids, or propellant management.
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and cryogenic systems.
• Practical experience with VOF or comparable multiphase modeling.
• English: C1 required (German is a plus).
• Ability to work onsite in Ottobrunn, Germany.
