Branch Banking Area Leader

Location: Hewlett, NY 11557; full-time role with 65% of time spent away from the office.

Salary: $72,435.75–$125,139.00 annually.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Branch Leaders and their teams across a designated market area of 6–10 branches.
• Drive client experience, business performance, operational efficiency, and profitable market growth.
• Recruit, engage, retain, coach, and develop staff, including succession planning and performance management.
• Strengthen community relationships and participate in Community Reinvestment Act activities.
• Coordinate branch teams with Mortgage Loan Officers, Financial Consultants, Business Banking, and market operations partners.
• Monitor audit issues, remove execution barriers, and maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and bank standards.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of branch banking experience, including 4 or more years in a leadership role.
• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required.
• Strong capabilities in people leadership, coaching, client service, sales performance, operational excellence, compliance, and risk management.
• Ability to build stakeholder relationships, communicate strategic priorities, exercise independent judgment, and make sound decisions.
• Availability to spend approximately 65% of working time away from the office and to travel between branch locations.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Additional experience in community engagement, audit remediation, or succession planning.
