TL;DR
Senior Risk Management/Loss Control Consultant (Insurance): Conducting risk management surveys and developing safety and risk improvement programs for commercial policyholders with an accent on complex risk analysis, customer engagement, and loss prevention. Focus on analyzing risk exposures, collaborating with underwriting and claims, training policyholders, and mentoring other consultants.
Location: Remote field-based position within the Broward County to Palm Beach, Florida area; occasional travel of up to three overnight stays per month is required.

What you will do
- Conduct risk management consultations and surveys at policyholders’ premises, identifying hazards and recommending risk improvement programs.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative risk data and develop plans to improve exposures across the assigned book of business.
- Provide resources, training sessions, conference presentations, and advisory support on risk management topics and trends.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, agencies, policyholders, and vendors to support new business acquisition, account retention, and service delivery.
- Promote company initiatives and participate in workgroups focused on profitability and customer service.
- Mentor risk management consultants and support onboarding activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management or a related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in safety, risk management, or a related industry.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical subjects.
- Proficiency with MS Office, virtual meeting tools, and other business or industry platforms.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to have
- Advanced certification or designation such as CSP, ARM, CRM, CIC, or CPCU.
