Assistant Superintendent (Multifamily Construction)

Location: Greater San Diego Area, United States; full-time onsite construction role

Salary: $95,000–$130,000 annual base pay, with potential additional bonuses or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Oversee field construction activities and coordinate subcontractors across framing, roofing, concrete, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, masonry, landscaping, and other assigned trades.
• Manage quality, schedules, trade performance, inspections, punch lists, mock-ups, box walks, and unit turns.
• Schedule material deliveries, equipment rentals, dumpsters, temporary labor, elevators, and site logistics.
• Coordinate city and third-party inspections, rough frame walks, pre-construction meetings, RFIs, approved submittals, and as-built information.
• Enforce safety policies, conduct safety walks, maintain temporary site facilities, and record safety activities in Procore.
• Support two- and four-week look-ahead schedules and resolve on-site subcontractor issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in construction or a related field is preferred.
• At least five years of construction experience, including at least three years in multifamily construction, is required.
• Familiarity with multifamily construction procedures and construction scheduling practices.
• PC proficiency.
• Ability to inspect work for quality-control and ADA/FHA checklist compliance and coordinate multiple subcontractors and site activities.
