TL;DR
Manufacturing Engineer III (Electrical) (Aerospace): Supporting the production, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical and electronic equipment for military aerospace and land-based systems with an accent on electrical assemblies, analog and digital electronics, and manufacturing planning. Focus on component-level failure analysis, test procedure development, process improvement, and designing manufacturing methods for complex assemblies.

Location: 100% onsite in Inglewood, California, United States. Applicants must be U.S. persons under ITAR export control requirements.

Salary: $71,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

  • Support production of airborne and land-based electromechanical and electronic equipment in accordance with engineering documents and specifications.
  • Test and troubleshoot analog and digital electronics to the component level using laboratory test equipment.
  • Review test requirements and create test plans, procedures, reports, and progress documentation.
  • Establish test methods and required equipment, perform failure analysis, and document corrective actions.
  • Analyze assembly and test processes, conduct time studies, and recommend lean improvements, cost reductions, and manufacturing enhancements.
  • Translate customer engineering requirements and drawings into manufacturing plans and bills of material while working with manufacturing personnel to resolve assembly issues.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience manufacturing and testing electromechanical assemblies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with electrical assemblies, wire harnesses, PCBs, electrical schematics, GD&T, analog theory, and digital theory.
  • Ability to use oscilloscopes, digital meters, and power supplies, and to perform basic measurement and inspection processes.
  • Experience creating manufacturing plans, interpreting MIL-STD documents and ASME Y14.5, and writing engineering reports with analysis and results.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, plus process management, problem solving, tooling, and process improvement skills.
