Manufacturing Technician (Glass Manufacturing)

Location: Faribault, Minnesota, United States; onsite, 3rd shift Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM

Salary: $22.50/hour starting pay plus a $1.50/hour third-shift premium

What you will do

• Operate and monitor manufacturing and coating equipment.
• Adjust equipment and process settings to maintain smooth production.
• Perform quality checks, test materials, and record production and process data.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production or quality issues, helping reduce scrap and waste.
• Complete routine equipment checks, assist with basic maintenance, and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, Supervisors, and technicians on problem solving, continuous improvement, cross-training, and team support.

Requirements

• Manufacturing, machine operation, maintenance, technical, or industrial experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Comfort using computers and entering information electronically.
• Attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to work with measurements and process information.
• Ability to follow written instructions, procedures, and safety requirements and work effectively with others.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, use hands frequently, work around machinery, occasionally move materials up to 30 pounds, and meet close and color vision requirements.

Nice to have

• Technical degree or experience with process control, vacuum systems, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma.
