Solution Architect – Corporate Functions Finance, Risk, Investments

Location: Hybrid, three days a week at a Guardian location in New Jersey, New York, NY, Stamford, CT, or Bethlehem, PA

Salary: $118,980–$195,465 base pay annually, with potential eligibility for incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Own product- and team-level solution design and delivery architecture across finance, risk, and investment value streams.
• Design and document application, integration, data, and infrastructure architectures.
• Partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, delivery teams, Enterprise Architecture, and platform teams on roadmaps, MVP scope, and technical trade-offs.
• Ensure solutions meet architecture standards, security requirements, design patterns, scalability, and resilience expectations.
• Lead proof-of-concepts, resolve technical dependencies and delivery impediments, and provide hands-on guidance on design and code structure.
• Mentor engineers, reduce technical debt, improve delivery efficiency, and support major-impact production incidents.

Requirements

• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, and modern application architectures.
• Experience designing hybrid architectures spanning on-premises systems and public cloud services.
• Experience working in Agile or product-based delivery models and producing product- and team-level technical documentation.
• Experience operating large-scale, business-critical systems in the insurance domain.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to balance speed, quality, risk, and long-term sustainability.
