What you will do

• Lead, develop, and retain a team of approximately twelve test engineers, process engineers, a test software developer, and manufacturing engineering technicians.
• Own production test assets, including digital and physical test systems, fixtures, instrumentation, software structure, calibration, documentation, and lifecycle management.
• Standardize test platforms and direct the development of LabVIEW and Python-based test and data-analysis tools.
• Manage manufacturing processes, work instructions, operating procedures, ERP routings, bills of material, capacity analysis, tooling, and fixtures.
• Drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and continuous improvement projects targeting cycle time, first-pass yield, scrap, rework, and ergonomics.
• Coordinate with Production, R&D, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Quality on production readiness, material flow, corrective action, and process capability.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering or a STEM-related discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including at least 3 years managing engineers and/or technicians as a formal people leader.
• Hands-on experience with production test systems, test stand or fixture development, electronic instrumentation, data acquisition, and electrical/electronic troubleshooting.
• Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5-Why, or DMAIC, as well as external vendor or integrator management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, P&IDs, and process documentation, and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree; an MS is a plus.
• Working knowledge of LabVIEW and/or Python, ERP/MRP systems, PFMEA, control plans, time studies, and labor standards.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification at Green Belt level or higher.
• Experience with departmental operating or capital budgets, production support ticketing systems, electromechanical assembly, fuel cells, or complex hardware manufacturing.
