Research Project Manager

Location: College Park, Maryland, United States; in-office position.

Salary: $49,996.80–$290,004.00 per year.

What you will do

• Act as the primary contact for contracting officers, government program managers, contractor leadership, and technical stakeholders.
• Manage contract performance across cost, schedule, technical execution, risk, requirements, and quality assurance.
• Coordinate with researchers to develop and execute research project plans.
• Direct technical resources, develop solutions, and provide recommendations on technical and programmatic requirements.
• Prepare statements of work, technical documentation, forecasts, financial plans, and program status updates.
• Deliver monthly program status reviews and briefings while coordinating responses to urgent program challenges.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Program or Project Manager supporting research programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• At least 1 year of experience in requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial monitoring, and reporting.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, and performance across complex programs.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical teams and senior leadership.
• Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFARS, DoD 5000 series, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 801.
