What you will do
- Lead the identification, analysis, and control of occupational hazards across worksite and product safety activities.
- Advise on structural safety using failure mode analysis and review plans for machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Design and implement protective equipment and safety devices, and lead audits and installation activities.
- Develop safety policies, guidelines, standards, training curricula, and preventive measures following accident investigations.
- Manage complex multidisciplinary EHS projects, including team selection, resource planning, budgets, deliverables, and acquisition-related initiatives.
- Maintain contractor and construction management programs and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in safety science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in a safety-related discipline, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success leading large, complex, multidisciplinary EHS projects within plan and budget.
- Recognized expertise in the field, with the ability to interpret business issues and recommend functional best practices.
- Experience managing teams, coordinating resources, forecasting requirements, and controlling project costs.
Nice to have
- CSP, CIH, or another professional safety certification.
- Graduate-level degree in a related field.
