Project Engineer

What you will do

• Lead multiple medium- to large-scale capital and engineering projects at the Woodward plant.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, QA, Warehouse, contractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
• Plan and execute projects using stage-gate FEL, risk management, project controls, and established engineering best practices.
• Supervise field construction and provide technical support and inspection for new or refurbished equipment.
• Lead Process Hazard Analysis, Process Safety Management, Management of Change, Root Cause Analysis, and Failure Analysis activities.
• Monitor safety, operability, cost, schedule, and reliability performance while communicating project status, risks, and technical issues to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited institution preferred; comparable engineering education and field experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of applicable engineering or industry experience.
• Experience in project engineering or project management, including capital projects and plant responsibilities; construction experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of state, local, and U.S. government regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements, as well as industry standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, build collaborative relationships, prioritize multiple projects, solve problems, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
