Machine Operator- Winder-12hr Rotating Swing Shifts

Location: Forest Park, GA, USA (West Facility); onsite role with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts from 7am–7pm and 7pm–7am.

Starting hourly rate: $24.63 per hour, with skill-based pay progression and overnight shift differentials.

What you will do

• Operate and monitor winding equipment according to established procedures.
• Perform machine startups, shutdowns, adjustments, setups, and product changeovers.
• Monitor temperatures, pressures, speeds, material flow, and other production parameters.
• Inspect finished products, complete quality checks and production records, and document downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, make minor adjustments, load materials, and assist with cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety, quality, GMP, and 5S standards while supporting scrap reduction, uptime, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and quality specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, overtime, weekends, and mandatory overtime when required.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout a 12-hour shift and lift, push, pull, or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with extrusion, blow molding, winding, converting, or plastic manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with machine setups and product changeovers.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
