Machine Operator - Night Shift (Manufacturing)

Location: Coldwater, Michigan, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $19–$21.50 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift premium

What you will do

• Fabricate complex metallic and nonmetallic parts and assemble machined components into complete units.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, shapers, grinders, and other conventional or numerical-control machines.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, sketches, and descriptions to determine machine settings, tolerances, and adjustments.
• Measure first-run parts and workpieces using micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks, and other instruments.
• Inspect materials and finished work for conformity with specifications and international standards.
• Maintain equipment, follow safety procedures, document production and quality results, and communicate issues across shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of prior machinist experience preferred.
• Manufacturing or manufacturing quality experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of machinist skills, controls, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, with effective time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
