Principal Solution Architect, Enterprise Digital Technology (Salesforce)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week at a Guardian office in New York, NY or Holmdel, NJ. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $152,290–$250,195 annual base pay, with potential eligibility for incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Define enterprise and business solution architecture strategies, standards, guardrails, reference architectures, and reusable patterns.
• Lead complex architecture decisions across CRM, Salesforce, marketing technology, customer service technology, UX/UI, accessibility, mobile, and digital platforms.
• Identify cross-platform dependencies, integration patterns, scalability constraints, security risks, build-versus-buy decisions, and enterprise exceptions.
• Shape target-state CRM and Salesforce architecture, including Data Cloud, customer context, canonical data models, APIs, event-driven integration, security, and release governance.
• Evaluate platforms and tools for strategic fit, total cost of ownership, scalability, resiliency, maintainability, and long-term enterprise value.
• Mentor architects and engineers, influence product and technology leaders, and support major production incidents with material business impact.

Requirements

• Deep experience designing, governing, and scaling enterprise solution architectures across teams, platforms, and digital domains.
• Strong knowledge of application architecture, APIs, integration patterns, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, data flows, and AI-enabled or agentic capabilities.
• Deep Salesforce and CRM platform experience, including Data Cloud, CRM data models, integrations, platform roadmaps, DevSecOps, security, observability, and production readiness.
• Experience with Adobe platform engineering or architecture across marketing technology and with AWS Connect or contact center platforms.
• Ability to balance enterprise strategy, engineering realities, business outcomes, risk, compliance, modernization, vendor capabilities, and cost.
• Experience influencing distributed teams without direct authority, mentoring architects and engineers, and working in regulated or risk-sensitive environments.
