TL;DR
Salesforce API Architect (Salesforce/API): Designing and governing enterprise integrations between Salesforce and ERP, data, marketing, and operational systems with an accent on API strategy, middleware selection, event-driven patterns, and integration security. Focus on designing data synchronization for high-volume environments, translating ambiguous requirements into production-ready solutions, and leading large integration programs.

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

  • Design and govern integrations between Salesforce and enterprise application systems.
  • Define integration architecture, middleware selection, API strategy, and event-driven patterns.
  • Design data synchronization strategies connecting Salesforce with ERP and operational systems.
  • Translate ambiguous requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute through code and design reviews while mentoring junior engineers.
  • Lead large Salesforce integration programs and ensure engineering quality at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Salesforce experience, including complex integrations.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce APIs, Platform Events, and Change Data Capture.
  • Hands-on experience with MuleSoft, Boomi, or Informatica.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, application architecture, identity, OAuth, and integration security.
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architect credential and strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect certification.
  • Experience with Kafka, Solace, or Confluent event-driven integration platforms.
  • Familiarity with Industry Clouds and high-volume integrations of 10M+ records per day.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite ERP systems.
