GC/MS Scientist- Extractables & Leachables

Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA; onsite only. Full-time, first shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA. No relocation assistance is provided, and the position is not remote. Up to 25% travel may be required.

What you will do

• Analyze biopharmaceutical ingredients and products with accuracy and precision.
• Prepare standards and samples and independently operate laboratory instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot instrumental and method-related issues.
• Review laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with GMP and GLP requirements.
• Evaluate systems, recommend process improvements, and write detailed investigations.
• Support multiple projects while demonstrating leadership and training newer analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• At least one year of GMP laboratory experience.
• At least one year of industry experience with GC/MS.
• Ability to work onsite in Lancaster, PA during the stated first-shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Experience with GC/MS, ICP systems, extractables and leachables testing, or ISO 10993 and ISO 18562 testing.
• Experience in cGMP, GLP, or ISO 17025 laboratories.
• Experience with method development and validation or identifying unknown compounds by mass spectrometry.
• Polymer-related experience or education.
