Senior Software Engineer (.NET)

Location: Oak Brook, Illinois, United States

Salary: $85,500–$162,975 per year, plus benefits, 401(k) contribution, and eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain middleware platforms supporting the myQ residential and commercial products.
• Translate product requirements into technical requirements and collaborate with Product Owners, architects, engineers, QA, infrastructure, database, frontend, firmware, operations, and customer service teams.
• Assess, scope, design, and manage changes for new business requirements, product enhancements, and technical debt.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, pull requests, and Scrum team interactions.
• Lead offshore engineering teams and mentor junior engineers while promoting reusable code and development best practices.
• Maintain software quality, security, documentation, and compliance with established information security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum, including experience working with Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
• Experience with .NET, C#, Azure, SQL, Visual Studio, Git, NoSQL databases, and messaging systems.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID, RESTful services, dependency injection, cloud development, and CI/CD processes.
• Ability to lead engineers, estimate work, troubleshoot software issues, create technical documentation, and communicate project progress.
