Electronic Technician I

Location: Not specified. The role follows a 5:00am–1:30pm shift and includes medium-heavy physical work in a manufacturing environment.

What you will do

• Assemble junction boxes, electronic controls, and related assemblies from mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Install and test completed electronic assemblies and perform final electronics checkout inspections.
• Troubleshoot wiring, discrete circuits, relays, diodes, transistors, capacitors, resistors, and DC battery chargers.
• Review wiring diagrams and interconnect drawings with manufacturing teams to ensure correct installation and testing.
• Support production and aftermarket troubleshooting, inspect completed work, and complete production and quality documentation.
• Train others in moderately complex electronic assembly tasks as needed while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in engineering technology, electronics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and skill development.
• 1–2 years of experience in a technician capacity.
• Ability to safely use small hand and power tools and read drawings and bills of material.
• Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings, ladder logic, schematics, and Gerber files.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to bench-troubleshoot wiring and electronic circuits using available diagrams.
• Knowledge of multimeters and power supplies.
