WC Claims Resolution Specialist (Workers' Compensation)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; hybrid work with office attendance two days per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

What you will do

• Investigate workers’ compensation losses, determine coverage and compensability, and analyze supporting documents and legal pleadings.
• Manage litigated claims in collaboration with legal counsel and develop resolution strategies, including damage evaluations, negotiations, and settlements.
• Establish accurate claim reserves, explain financial exposure to insureds, and prepare claim summaries and reserve updates.
• Coordinate with insureds, agents, medical providers, injured workers, and other stakeholders to resolve claims and support timely return to work.
• Identify external resources, monitor costs, analyze claims trends, and support risk mitigation and claims education.
• Mentor and train other claims handlers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of experience handling medium- to high-severity or complex workers’ compensation claims.
• Expertise in Texas workers’ compensation claims is required; experience with Arizona, Arkansas, and Oklahoma is preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to travel overnight up to 15%.
