Medical Assistant Instructor (Medical Assisting)

Location: Concord, California, USA; campus-based

Compensation: USD 27–31 per hour, based on experience and program needs.

What you will do

• Teach medical assisting courses and provide academic and technology-related instruction.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with syllabus objectives, learning outcomes, student abilities, and individual accommodations.
• Evaluate student performance using varied methods, including cooperative learning, reports, and teamwork.
• Provide ongoing academic advising and career counseling while identifying and supporting at-risk students.
• Collaborate with campus departments, student services, academic committees, and institutional initiatives.
• Follow company policies and comply with state, Department of Education, and accreditation regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma; advanced education or a college degree is preferred, with equivalent experience considered.
• At least three years of hands-on clinical experience in a medical assistant role.
• Current knowledge of medical assistant practice and the ability to mentor a diverse student population.
• Ability to work independently with strong interpersonal, oral presentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Nice to have

• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential such as RMA, CMA, or NRCMA.
• Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas, Blackboard, or Moodle.
