What you will do

  • Develop and revise cable and wire-harness drawings, wire lists, pinouts, routing details, labels, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Select and document wires, cables, connectors, terminals, backshells, protective materials, and hardware.
  • Prepare bills of material, drawing packages, and revision-controlled manufacturing packages.
  • Apply IPC/WHMA-A-620 workmanship and acceptance requirements in design documentation.
  • Coordinate with electrical design, equipment integration, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and test teams.
  • Support prototype and production builds, controlled design changes, and continuity, point-to-point, and other harness testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience creating or revising cable and wire-harness drawings, wire lists, pinouts, and build documentation for manufactured equipment.
  • Knowledge of cable and harness construction, connector and termination selection, routing, labeling, and revision-controlled documentation.
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Clear technical communication, attention to detail, and effective collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and test functions.
  • Must meet ITAR export-control requirements and qualify as a U.S. person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace, defense, industrial controls, power equipment, or other high-reliability cable and harness builds.
  • Exposure to Class 3 workmanship or acceptance criteria.
