Marine Technician

Location: Sydney, Australia. Technicians are based out of Rozelle, Darling Harbour, and Palm Beach, with occasional offsite work. Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, 38 hours per week.

Marine ferry and cruising services operating the Manly to Circular Quay Fast Ferry service under a contract with the NSW Government, with plans to expand services and invest in a more sustainable fleet.

What you will do

• Conduct repairs, maintenance, diagnostics, and ship husbandry across a fleet of 20 vessels.
• Complete preventive, corrective, and general technical tasks as assigned.
• Work closely with Fleet Managers and the Marine Crew.
• Support safe and reliable ferry operations.
• Work independently when required, including at offsite locations.

Requirements

• Certification in a relevant field such as Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Marine Mechanic, Marine Engine Driver Grade 1, Electrician, or a similar discipline.
• Hands-on experience with technical systems, repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of vessel technical systems and relevant marine qualifications.
• Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, respect for colleagues, and good standards of cleanliness.
