Mechanic

Location: Onsite at 5 Wishart Rd, Berrimah NT 0820, Australia; interstate travel between workshops may be required.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair trucks, trailers, and other fleet equipment.
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance according to manuals, manufacturer specifications, NHVAS, and TruckSafe requirements.
• Respond to asset breakdown callouts and support maintenance across interstate workshops when required.
• Maintain high workshop safety standards and report hazards, incidents, non-conformances, and safety matters.
• Complete servicing and repair documentation in line with maintenance guidelines.
• Coordinate daily duties with the Workshop Supervisor or Workshop Manager and build positive relationships with colleagues and customers.

Requirements

• Heavy automotive trade certificate.
• Qualified mechanic with sound mechanical knowledge.
• Experience servicing and maintaining heavy-vehicle trucks and trailers.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and outlined servicing schedules.
• Driver’s license and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace health and safety.

Nice to have

• HR or HC license.
• Fuel maintenance knowledge.
• Previous transport or mining industry experience.
