Production Manager, EMV®

Location: Bolingbrook, IL, US. Work is performed in a light industrial setting with shop-noise exposure, occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs, regular movement around facilities, and international travel.

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead daily EMV® production operations, execute production schedules, and meet output, quality, inventory, and delivery targets.
• Monitor and improve safety, scrap, efficiency, throughput, cost, and other departmental KPIs.
• Partner with Maintenance to maintain equipment uptime and resolve operational issues quickly.
• Reduce scrap and rework through root-cause analysis, corrective actions, Lean manufacturing, standard work, and process optimization.
• Manage the departmental budget and provide monthly performance and P&L insights to leadership.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production staff while partnering with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance on process changes and new product introductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
• Strong analytical skills, including statistical reasoning.
• Experience with operational controls, manufacturing processes, logistics, safety, and quality systems.
• Demonstrated leadership experience developing teams and driving performance.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and GMP principles.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• High standards of personal integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience in plastic card, EMV®, or secure card manufacturing.
