Software Architect / Solutions Architect (AI)

Location: Fully onsite at the Lisbon office, Portugal; relocation support is available. The posting header also lists Madrid.

What you will do

• Define and maintain the overall architecture and system design for scalable software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and establish architecture and coding standards for engineering teams.
• Design and document high-level system diagrams, data flows, and API structures.
• Evaluate technologies, frameworks, and cloud services for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Oversee microservices, APIs, and third-party integrations while working with DevOps and SRE teams.
• Conduct architecture reviews and performance audits, identifying technical risks and improving system resilience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development and architecture.
• Strong expertise in system design, cloud computing, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and cloud-native architectures.
• Backend experience with Node, Python, Java, or .NET, plus familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, API design, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of security, identity management, encryption, DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
