Senior Electrical Engineer (10-15 years)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid work schedule. The posting header also lists Orlando, Florida, United States.

Compensation: Paid overtime at 1.0 times the hourly rate, plus a discretionary end-of-year bonus based on company, team, and individual performance.

What you will do

• Design electrical systems and prepare technical specifications for consulting projects.
• Manage and design multiple concurrent projects while controlling budgets and schedules.
• Lead electrical and multidisciplinary design teams and mentor engineering professionals.
• Interpret technical drawings and consult with architects, owners, general contractors, and clients.
• Develop fee and qualification-based proposals and support marketing and business development.
• Provide client-facing consulting services and contribute to office and department goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10–15 years of electrical engineering and design experience, primarily in power-related industrial, higher education, healthcare, federal government, and/or commercial projects.
• Experience with electrical and energy codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, and IECC.
• Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software, as well as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, organizational, analytical, project management, and team leadership skills; ability to travel.

Nice to have

• Lighting design experience.
• Telecom, A/V, cybersecurity, or security design experience.
• Project management experience or certifications.
• Local authority having jurisdiction experience and relationships.
• Active local industry involvement.
