Planning & Controls Engineer (Civil Construction): Developing and maintaining schedules, cost controls, progress reporting, and risk and change assessments for major civil construction projects with an accent on Primavera P6, earned value analysis, critical-path monitoring, and contract administration. Focus on analyzing delays, forecasting costs and cash flow, evaluating extension-of-time claims, and coordinating corrective actions across engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams.
Location: Onsite in Egypt, with projects in New Cairo and Damietta

What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures, resource-loaded schedules, recovery plans, and project progress reports.
- Monitor progress, milestones, critical paths, float consumption, schedule risks, costs, commitments, budgets, and cash flow.
- Conduct earned value analysis, productivity assessments, variance analysis, and delay reviews.
- Evaluate extension-of-time claims and variations, assess schedule and cost impacts, and propose mitigation or corrective actions.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, construction, commercial teams, subcontractors, management, and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Civil Engineering is preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in planning and project controls within civil construction projects.
- Previous experience with civil construction contractors and medium- to large-scale construction projects is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, project control, cost control, risk management, change management, delay analysis, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.
- Excellent command of English is required.
