Energy Networks Consultant (Asset Management and Operations)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office or on client site, and potentially up to 5 days per week on a client site.

What you will do

• Support regulated utility clients with energy infrastructure planning across transmission and distribution networks.
• Advise on energy network operations and the priorities of consumers, regulators, and shareholders.
• Develop asset strategies, policies, plans, and standards linked to business outcomes.
• Support new and existing client opportunities through consulting expertise and client relationships.
• Deliver portfolios of workstreams and small projects while maintaining quality and standards.
• Translate complex technical information into clear concepts for stakeholders from the boardroom to operational environments.

Requirements

• Technical background or strong technical competencies in electricity or gas network asset planning or operations.
• Knowledge of the evolving energy landscape, including NESO, DSO, Net Zero drivers, and regulatory incentives.
• Experience with asset strategy, holistic decision-making, programme delivery, asset health, utilisation, risk, or resilience.
• Experience managing workstreams or small projects, including compliance with quality assurance and relevant standards.
• Strong communication, presentation, document writing, collaboration, and workload management skills.
• Applicants for relevant UK security-cleared roles must be British citizens or have at least 5 years of continuous UK residency; baseline personnel security checks are required.
