Electrical Designer (Aerospace)

Location: Inglewood, California, United States. The position requires applicants to be U.S. persons under ITAR export-control requirements.

Salary: $122,100–$143,500 per year.

What you will do

• Develop equipment and controls designs and documentation from requirements and engineering direction through release.
• Create and revise schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and wire schedules.
• Select electrical components and prepare bills of material, specifications, drawing packages, and revision-controlled records.
• Coordinate design interfaces with controls, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Support prototype and production builds by resolving documentation, installation, fit, and function issues and processing design changes.
• Prepare manufacturing tests, support functional testing and troubleshooting, and document results and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience preparing schematics, panel layouts, and wiring documentation for equipment or controls systems.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD or drafting tools and disciplined drawing, revision, and document-control practices.
• Ability to select and document components and maintain bills of material, specifications, drawing packages, and configuration-controlled records.
• Clear technical communication, practical problem-solving, and collaboration across design, manufacturing, and testing functions.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.

Nice to have

• Experience as an electrical designer, controls designer, panel designer, or electrical drafter.
• Experience supporting manufactured electrical equipment, control panels, integrated power/control enclosures, production builds, or factory testing.
