Senior Staff Engineer - Systems (GNSS)

Location: Onsite at the San Jose headquarters, United States

Base pay range: $189,000–$301,000 USD annually, plus incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Develop location technologies using GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, and other GNSS signals.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain C/C++ receiver models for RTL, bit-accurate, and cycle-accurate verification.
• Design signal-processing algorithms, receiver front ends, and wireless baseband architectures.
• Build and use end-to-end receiver simulations to benchmark performance, verify functionality, and validate hardware designs.
• Collaborate with design verification, RTL, software, firmware, RF systems, and driver teams to model and verify receiver ASIC implementations.
• Perform FPGA verification, ASIC and board bring-up, laboratory testing, product-log analysis, debugging, and technical reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 13+ years, or Ph.D. with 10+ years in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong software development skills in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB.
• Deep experience with GNSS and/or CDMA receiver architecture, including AGC, DSP filters, correlators, FFT, AFC, and PLL.
• Strong foundation in signal processing, detection and estimation theory, wireless channels, random processes, demodulation, decoding, and GNSS acquisition and tracking.
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, triage, debugging, code analysis, Jira, Gerrit, and Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
