Safety Officer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Inspect equipment, tools, safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and working conditions in oil and gas facilities.
• Observe crews and report failures to use required safety devices and precautions.
• Examine ditches and tunnels and recommend measures to prevent cave-ins and other hazards.
• Investigate accidents, determine their causes, and develop preventive measures.
• Instruct workers on safety equipment and safe work methods.
• Ensure compliance with safety and SHE procedures before and during work.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in oil and gas maintenance with a high school education, or at least 6 years with a diploma.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance work related to safety.
• Excellent organization and communication skills; proactive approach.
• Proven leadership experience in large organizations.
• Mature judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
• Strategic management skills.
