Pediatric/OB BSN Nursing Instructor - Per Diem

Location: Fresno, California, USA; campus-based, part-time

Compensation: $55–$70 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Provide nursing education in skills labs and clinical settings according to the established curriculum.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences at assigned healthcare facilities.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate students against clinical learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain accurate attendance, skills check-off, and student performance records.
• Coordinate clinical assignments to meet student and facility needs, and submit required reports.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, curriculum improvement, and ongoing student communication.

Requirements

• Valid, unencumbered California Board of Registered Nursing license required.
• Minimum four years of registered nursing experience, including at least one year within the last five years, with direct patient care.
• Eligibility for approval by the California Board of Registered Nursing as an instructor in an applicable nursing specialty.
• Master’s degree with coursework in nursing, education, or administration and academic preparation in the subject taught; BSN candidates currently enrolled in a master’s program may be considered for a Clinical Teaching Assistant role.
• Clinical expertise in pediatrics, labor and delivery, medical-surgical nursing, mental health, geriatrics, community health, and/or critical care.
• One year of nursing-course teaching experience or completion of a course that includes practice in teaching nursing is preferred.
