Senior Water Resources Engineer

What you will do

• Manage the full project life cycle from proposal development through execution, maintaining schedules and budgets with limited supervision.
• Plan and design water resources projects involving stormwater management, drainage, flood control, irrigation, transportation, and site grading.
• Conduct field inspections, assess site conditions, and collect project data.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, drainage studies, FEMA Letters of Map Revision, construction plans, profiles, specifications, and estimates.
• Provide technical guidance and construction administration for water resources projects.
• Contribute to professional development and industry knowledge through participation in relevant organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Senior-level experience applying engineering principles to water resources projects, including drainage reports, stormwater design, civil design, and site grading/layout.
• Engineer-In-Training Certificate or the ability to attain one within six months.
• Practical experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and XPSWMM, plus AutoCAD and GIS.
• Fluent English is required.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, communicate technical concepts clearly, and work independently.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of SWMM, TR-55, HSPF, HY-8, SMS/SRH-2D, MicroStation, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, OpenRoads, or HydroCAD.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
