Principal Systems Electrical Engineer (AI/Hyperscale Servers)

Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, United States; onsite

Salary: $116,250–$193,750 per year base salary

What you will do

• Lead system-level architecture and board-level implementation from early product concept through production launch.
• Prepare specifications, bills of materials, schematics, and design documentation while supervising junior engineers and external suppliers.
• Define PCB layout guidelines and oversee layout engineers to meet physical and electrical requirements.
• Use simulation tools and engineering calculations to verify design compliance.
• Lead and mentor layout, system bring-up, and debug teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and engineering teams while defining production test methods and balancing cost, performance, quality, and schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12+ years of experience designing and debugging computer-related PCB boards.
• Experience with analog and digital design, high-speed bus interfaces, high-speed PCB layout, and signal integrity debugging.
• Knowledge of power distribution techniques and x86 processor system architecture.
• Ability to implement high-speed serial buses including SAS/SATA, PCIe, and USB, and high-speed parallel buses including DDR2/3 and CPU front-side bus.
• Strong feature and cost trade-off analysis, specification writing, leadership, presentation, and communication skills.
