TL;DR
Systems Engineering Lead (Aerospace): Leading systems engineering, integration, and testing for a secure Red LAN enclave that receives and distributes Space Domain Awareness data, with an accent on lifecycle management, modernization planning, and configuration baseline control. Focus on governing CCB/ERB processes, integrating cross-domain solutions, managing deficiencies and change requests, and maintaining formal engineering and test documentation.

Location: On-site at a secured, classified facility in one of multiple U.S. states; specific site(s) to be confirmed at award. Periodic travel is required, with occasional support outside standard hours.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience, location, contract award terms, and other factors.

What you will do

  • Lead all Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) functions for a secure Red LAN data processing and distribution enclave.
  • Manage, test, integrate, and monitor operational functionality across the system.
  • Identify components requiring modernization and maintain critical component, spares, obsolescence, and DMSMS plans.
  • Manage deficiency reporting and change processes in accordance with applicable Air Force acquisition and sustainment requirements.
  • Own Change Request submissions and technical presentations for CCB and ERB events.
  • Maintain the System Engineering Management Plan, engineering documentation, specifications, drawings, and Formal Test Plans.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and SAP eligibility are required; SAP eligibility must be attainable if not currently held.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of systems engineering experience, including SEIT leadership on classified, multi-domain ground systems or similar mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Experience with cross-domain solution integration, configuration management, and CCB/ERB governance.
  • DoD 8570/8140-aligned technical certification.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience with Space Domain Awareness systems, the U.S. Space Force, or Intelligence Community mission environments.
  • Experience with DMSMS assessments and parts obsolescence planning for fielded government systems.
  • Familiarity with AFI 63-101/20-101 acquisition and sustainment processes.
  • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent certification.
