Convolutor Trainee - 1st Shift

STS Aerospace supports aerospace manufacturing through specialized tube and hose forming operations.

What you will do

• Set up and operate tube convolution, forming, compression, and pressure-testing equipment.
• Select and install seals, dies, mandrels, chucks, collars, and other tooling.
• Trim, square-cut, flatten, swage, and compress hose ends to required specifications.
• Measure hose dimensions with micrometers and calipers, and adjust processes for compliance.
• Inspect samples using a shadowgraph and wall-thickness gauge, and test finished hose sections.
• Track tubing and completed hose, complete documentation, maintain tooling, and keep the work area safe and orderly.

Requirements

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Ability to stand, walk, handle tools, reach, talk, and hear during regular work activities.
• Ability to lift or move up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required.
• Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance is required.

• 2nd shift option: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM, with a $1.00 shift differential.
