Maintenance Mechanic (Aerospace)

Location: Laconia, New Hampshire, United States; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Complete maintenance requests through the maintenance ticket system and diagnose mechanical breakdowns.
• Dismantle, inspect, adjust, lubricate, clean, and replace defective parts in machinery and mechanical devices.
• Set up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
• Repair electrical equipment and maintain production machines, motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, control wiring, conveyor systems, and HVAC systems.
• Perform facility maintenance, including painting, replacing light bulbs and filters, and addressing exterior safety hazards.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records, initiate purchase orders, and manage after-hours building access when requested.

Requirements

• At least five years of maintenance facility experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent education from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to work consistently, regularly, and predictably, arriving on time.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear during regular duties.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
