Cloud Engineer (REF5110I)

Location: Debrecen, Pécs, or Szeged, Hungary. Remote work is available only within Hungary due to European taxation regulations.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud and hybrid infrastructure with a focus on automation, reliability, and security.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions with Terraform for AWS and on-premises resources.
• Develop and improve secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines and automate provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operations.
• Implement observability solutions covering monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Manage AWS services, Docker and Kubernetes workloads, and networking components such as firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and secure cloud-to-on-premises connectivity.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and platform issues, participate in on-call rotations, and support incident response and continuous service improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role.
• Hands-on AWS experience, cloud-native architecture knowledge, and strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience, preferably with Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk, plus Docker and Kubernetes knowledge.
• Knowledge of networking, IAM, encryption, security best practices, compliance requirements, troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Security Specialty.
• DevSecOps, SIEM, vulnerability management, security automation, zero-trust architecture, or micro-segmentation experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or HIPAA compliance frameworks.
• German language skills.
