Senior DevOps Engineer (Oracle): Improving the reliability, automation, and evolution of enterprise Oracle database platforms and infrastructure with an accent on Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, CI/CD, and observability. Focus on operating highly available Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments, validating disaster recovery, leading incident response, and strengthening platform resiliency across mission-critical production systems.
Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; home office available
Salary: From EUR 2,900 gross per month for the full-time position; actual compensation depends on qualifications and expectations

What you will do
- Design and maintain automation for Oracle platform and infrastructure operations with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
- Build CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and self-service operational tooling across enterprise environments.
- Operate and optimize highly available Oracle environments, including RAC, Data Guard, and RMAN, covering tuning, patching, upgrades, migrations, backup, and recovery.
- Lead incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions.
- Improve platform resiliency through disaster recovery validation, resiliency testing, capacity planning, and SLA/SLO-focused initiatives.
- Strengthen observability with monitoring, dashboards, alerting, metrics, logs, Grafana, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Requirements
- Strong recent professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering in business-critical enterprise environments.
- Hands-on Oracle administration and troubleshooting experience, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, performance tuning, patching, and upgrades.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Recent experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python and/or Bash for infrastructure automation and reusable tooling at scale.
- Understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure lifecycle management, incident management, reliability engineering, and SLAs/SLOs.
- Fluent English required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, enterprise storage and backup, open-source infrastructure, or hybrid cloud environments.
