Staff Physician (IM/FM)

Location: Onsite in Lost Hills and Delano, California, USA

Salary: $240,000–$270,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based outpatient primary care, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute conditions.
• Diagnose and manage obesity, diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and other cardiometabolic conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and support patients in long-term disease management and improved well-being.
• Manage an empaneled patient population and coordinate care with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health providers, physical therapists, health coaches, and other clinical staff.
• Participate in clinical quality improvement and population health initiatives, using clinical data to improve outcomes, access, engagement, and continuity of care.
• Provide care in a 100% outpatient practice with approximately 16 patients per day and no evening or weekend call responsibilities.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current or eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain it before the start date.
• Strong clinical knowledge of adult primary care, preventive medicine, obesity, diabetes, and chronic disease management.
• Ability to work effectively in an integrated, multidisciplinary care model and engage patients in shared decision-making.

Nice to have

• Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Experience providing outpatient primary care.
• Experience managing obesity, diabetes, and other cardiometabolic conditions.
• Written and verbal fluency in medical Spanish.
