Construction Inspector - Water (Water/Wastewater)

What you will do

• Inspect large-diameter water and wastewater utility installations, excavation and backfill, tunneling, lift stations, and concrete buildings or structures.
• Observe construction materials, elevations, underground facilities, safety precautions, traffic control, and erosion and siltation controls for compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and regulations.
• Review construction plans and specifications, participate in project meetings, and resolve issues with contractors and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate materials testing, identify project problems and non-conformance, and monitor corrective actions.
• Maintain daily diaries and field records, including measurements and material quantities.
• Recommend contract or plan adjustments and calculate contractor progress payments for completed work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of inspection or construction experience preferred.
• Broad construction knowledge and the ability to apply construction concepts and skills.
• Independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, procedures, and evaluation criteria.
• Ability to manage significant and unique construction issues and coordinate with multiple groups.
• Ability to provide consultation to management and occasional supervision to other personnel.
• Full-time work in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area.
