Seasonal Laboratory Technician

What you will do

• Prepare samples for analysis according to analytical standard operating procedures after completing training.
• Operate basic department-specific laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of preparation instruments.
• Enter and maintain technical information supporting laboratory operations.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks where applicable and follow safety procedures.
• Work with supervisors and laboratory colleagues to meet daily production, hold-time, and turnaround-time targets.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in an analytical chemistry, seed, or biological laboratory, or prior experience working with one’s hands.
• Ability to work at the Brookings, South Dakota, USA location.
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures, internal standards, and safety requirements.
