Mill/Mixer Operator (Printing Ink)

Location: Edwardsville, Kansas, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Run ink batches using proper mill settings and follow established mixer and production procedures.
• Weigh and add batch ingredients in the correct process order, switching between automatic and manual steps.
• Operate and maintain Hockmeyer mills, mixers, press-out units, pump filter equipment, and forklifts.
• Package finished ink in various containers, apply labels, complete canning, and support repacks.
• Clean and maintain equipment according to TPM standards, complete scheduled maintenance, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Provide ink samples and data to Quality Control, make ink adjustments, and maintain formula and processing-time records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 3 months of related work experience.
• Good mathematical and basic computer skills, attention to detail, reliability, and punctuality.
• Availability for the assigned shift and overtime when required.
• Strong Autonomous Maintenance background and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; post-offer, pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check are required.

Nice to have

• Forklift experience.
• Background in mixing, mill, or pump filter operations.
• Previous experience in the ink industry.
