Blending Operator I, Production (Manufacturing)

Location: New Century, Kansas, USA — plant-based role. Evening shift: 3:45 p.m. to 2:45 a.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.

What you will do

• Operate automated, semi-automated, and manual packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform preventive and general maintenance.
• Operate production lines according to written procedures, customer requirements, good manufacturing practices, and food safety controls.
• Inspect packaging materials, verify batch weights and quantities, and maintain raw material and finished goods records.
• Collect samples and provide product quality information for quality control and quality assurance.
• Identify, label, store, and account for nonconforming materials, remelt, residue, and waste.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and read technical manuals and production flow charts.
• Ability to work independently while following safety, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lb (25 kg) and wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment.
• Reliable attendance and consistent punctuality.
• Successful completion of the interview process, drug screen, background check, and physical screening.

• Production line or manufacturing experience.
• Previous food plant experience.
• Exposure to automated packaging equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift experience.
