Location: Hybrid role in Philadelphia, PA; Iselin, NJ; or New York, NY, USA

Salary: $140,300–$323,740 in Philadelphia; $182,600–$338,450 in Iselin; $240,000–$367,880 in New York.

What you will do

  • Lead and grow the property and casualty actuarial function within the Risk Advisory practice.
  • Direct client engagements involving loss reserving, reserve adequacy, pricing, rate reviews, regulatory examinations, rate filings, audits, and large claim evaluations.
  • Advise insurance executives and management teams on actuarial, financial, insurance, regulatory, claims, and market risks.
  • Develop actuarial frameworks and methodologies for self-insurance, captives, IFRS 17, and related advisory needs.
  • Drive business development, build client relationships, develop proposals, and expand the actuarial and insurance advisory offering.
  • Manage engagement staffing, delivery, billing, collections, quality, profitability, and the coaching and development of team members.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree and at least 12 years of professional experience.
  • FCAS designation required; FSA designation is preferred.
  • Substantial property and casualty actuarial experience across reserving, pricing, risk management, and regulatory matters.
  • Experience leading professionals and managing multiple complex client engagements.
  • Strong actuarial modeling, data analysis, statistical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to serve clients and support practice development.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Four or more years as a client-serving manager or above in actuarial consulting, public accounting, or professional services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with expert witness services, litigation advisory, transaction advisory, due diligence, InsurTech, healthcare, or self-insurance.
