Adjunct Faculty - Dissertation Committee Methodologist (Education)

Location: Remote, United States

Expected compensation: $1,560–$4,080 per quarter or semester for graduate course instruction; $700–$2,200 per quarter for undergraduate course instruction.

What you will do

• Serve as a methodology expert on doctoral dissertation committees as chair or second member.
• Mentor students in Ed.D. and Ph.D. research projects.
• Review proposed research designs, research questions, hypotheses, and methodology selections.
• Assess sampling plans and oversee implementation in line with program norms and human-subjects ethics.
• Provide constructive feedback on data collection, analysis, presentation, and conclusions.
• Complete required faculty training.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Education or a related field from an accredited university.
• Strong background in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed-methods research.
• Significant intellectual and professional contributions to Education or a related field, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
• Experience serving on doctoral dissertation committees is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to supporting graduate student development and research in a distance learning environment.

Nice to have

• Three to five years of independent research project mentoring experience.
• Experience supervising graduate-level student research.
• Experience with distance learning.
• Qualitative research expertise.
