Senior Software Engineer - Technical Analyst

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week at a Guardian location in Bethlehem, PA, Holmdel, NJ, or New York, NY. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Salary: $95,170–$156,355 base pay annually, with potential eligibility for additional incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, system designs, and user stories.
• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java, REST APIs, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and onshore and offshore engineering teams in Agile delivery.
• Analyze and troubleshoot APIs with Postman and SoapUI and support enterprise-system integrations.
• Perform unit and integration testing, resolve defects, and provide production support and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to application modernization, cloud adoption, proof-of-concepts, and AI-assisted development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development or systems analysis experience.
• Strong skills in Java, REST APIs, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL, and relational databases.
• Experience with MVC architecture, multi-tier application design, and Agile environments such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.
• Exposure to cloud technologies including AWS or Azure and experience with quality assurance, unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with TIBCO BusinessWorks, iProcess, workflow automation, performance testing, or system tuning.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and Python coding.
• Domain experience in insurance or financial services.
