Buyer Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Rock Island, Tennessee — onsite; the posting header also lists McMinnville, Tennessee. Full-time, salaried exempt position.

What you will do

• Plan, purchase, and manage materials, supply points, product lines, and suppliers to meet customer commitments.
• Review customer and shop orders, production capacity, equipment capacity, and historical data to prepare daily production plans.
• Release purchase orders for production materials, floor stock, and other manufacturing needs.
• Manage inventory replenishment, safety stock, stocking locations, Kanban sizing, and rack locations.
• Resolve quality, quantity, delivery, and invoicing issues while expediting suppliers and logistics.
• Track supplier performance and collaborate with warehouse, manufacturing, customer service, maintenance, and shipping teams on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher.
• 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, material control, or manufacturing planning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support is required.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B and TN sponsorship, is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with AS400/Profound.
• Knowledge of steel and rubber specifications and tolerances.
• Knowledge of Country of Origin and domestic or AIS requirements.
