TL;DR
M&A Analyst (TMT) (Investment Banking): Preparing transaction materials, sector analyses, valuations, and financial models for European telecom, digital infrastructure, and media deals with an accent on live M&A and IPO execution. Focus on building DCF and merger models, analyzing market and investor activity, coordinating due diligence, and supporting senior bankers on client and origination work.
Location: Madrid, Spain; full-time onsite at the Luca de Tena Office

What you will do
- Prepare pitchbooks, strategic reviews, management presentations, information memoranda, board materials, and internal approval documents.
- Conduct sector, company, investor, and transaction analysis across the European telecom and digital infrastructure market.
- Monitor market developments, valuation trends, regulatory themes, and investor activity across data centers, towers, fiber, telecommunications, and media.
- Build and review operating models, DCFs, merger and accretion/dilution analyses, valuation frameworks, and sensitivities.
- Support live M&A and IPO execution, including due diligence coordination, workstream management, and stakeholder interaction.
- Support senior bankers with client dialogue, strategic analysis, and origination ideas.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A, ECM/IPO advisory, or a similar transaction environment.
- Strong live transaction execution experience and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with a strong understanding of accounting and corporate finance fundamentals.
- Experience producing high-quality client-facing materials with strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Undergraduate degree with a strong academic track record.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to the European TMT sector, including telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and media.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Mergermarket, or Infralogic.
- Additional European languages.
